Dr. Robert W. Murray is the Vice-President, Research at the Frontier Centre for Public Policy, a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies, and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Alberta. He is also a blogger for e-International Relations and a Columnist for Troy Media. He holds a BA in History from Brock University, an MA in Political Science from Brock University, and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Alberta.
He has previously served in a variety of policy leadership and academic roles such as the Director, Legislative and Political Affairs for the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA), as an academic faculty member at both the University of Alberta and Brock University, and as a Member Scholar at the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology. He has published numerous books, academic journal articles, editorials and appeared in local, provincial, national, and international media outlets as a respected voice on political and policy issues.
His research focuses primarily on international relations theory, international security (especially Arctic sovereignty and humanitarian intervention), and Canadian foreign policy.
