AIMS Chairman Announces New Board Members
11 December 2013HALIFAX, NS: The Chairman of the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS), John Risley, is pleased to announce the most recent additions to the AIMS Board of Directors: Ms. Laura Araneda, Mr. Lee Bragg, and Dr. Richard Florizone.
Ms. Araneda is the President of Vic Progressive Diamond Drilling and President of Terrain Drilling Solutions Inc. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick in 1991. Click here to read Ms. Araneda’s biography
Mr. Bragg, CEO of EastLink, is on the Board of Directors for Nova Scotia Power Inc. and is Chair of the Advisory Board for the Faculty of Management, Dalhousie University. He is an alumnus of Mount Allison University and the University of New Brunswick. Click here to read Mr. Bragg’s biography
Dr. Florizone is the 11th President of Dalhousie University. He served as Senior Adviser to the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation, Director of Strategic Initiatives at Bombardier Aerospace, and consultant and project leader with the Boston Consulting group in Toronto. “Ms. Araneda, Mr. Bragg, and Dr. Florizone are invaluable additions to the Institute’s Board of Directors, all of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table,” said AIMS Chairman John Risley.

“We are grateful to Charles Cirtwill, who recently departed as President and CEO and is now the President of the Northern Policy Institute. Replacing Mr. Cirtwill and joining the Board of Directors is Dr. Marco Navarro-Genie, former Vice-President, Research at the Frontier Centre for Public Policy in Western Canada,” said Risley.
