The former Prime Minister of Ireland, Dr. Garret FitzGerald, was the guest speaker at AIMS 10th anniversary dinner on May 31st in Saint John, New Brunswick. It appears his message of the Irish economic turn-around struck a cord among attendees and the media. The Telegraph-Journal made Dr. FitzGerald’s visit front page news on the 31st, and followed up with an editorial a few days later. It also published part of Dr. FitzGerald’s speech as an opinion column.
