AIMS 5th annual high school report card should be used to better understand what is going on in our public schools. AIMS acting president and report co-author Charles Cirtwill says it is only with that understanding that improvements can be made.
In this interview on CBC Radio’s Mainstreet in Nova Scotia, Cirtwill points out that there are a number of areas that are extensively analyzed in calculating the final results in the report card. He suggests the challenges faced by our schools can be identified by stakeholders through looking at the whole picture rather than concentrating exclusively on the end result. He also notes that solutions can be found to common problems when schools communicate with their peers to find solutions that have proven effective.
