AIMS’s student outreach program, AIMS on Campus, is holding an essay contest. Open to all students, the subject is supply management in Canadian agriculture.
Is it time for Canada to adopt a market system for eggs, milk and poultry, thereby sending the current model the way of the Canada Wheat Board? Or does supply management provide important protection to farmers and ultimately serve the country well?
Interested students should visit AIMS on Campus dot C-A to submit their 750-word essay. Prizes are 750 dollars, 500 dollars and 250 dollars for first, second and third place. The deadline is May 1st. Again, the address is www.AIMSonCampus.ca.
