The message from the 5th annual AIMS report card on Atlantic Canadian high schools is very clearly conveyed in this interview with AIMS acting president Charles Cirtwill; schools can succeed but unfortunately there are too many that are looking to excuse average performance rather than striving for excellence.
Cirtwill explains during this interview on CBC Radio in Newfoundland and Labrador that more should be done to implement strategies that have proven effective in overcoming challenges common to many schools. He points out a number of areas where schools have success and challenges those having similar problems to look to AIMS report card for solutions.
